This explains what personal data Humber Honey collects when you use our website or place an order, and what we do with it.

 

Who we are

Humber Honey, 49 Tranby Avenue, Hessle, HU13 0PS, is the data controller for the personal data described here. 

 

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, delivery address, billing address, email, and phone number. Payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider (Wix Payments or the payment processor connected to our store). We don't see or store your full card details ourselves.

If you contact us by email or through a contact form, we'll hold the details you send us in order to reply.

Like most websites, our site uses cookies for things like keeping your basket working and understanding how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required, we'll ask for your consent to non-essential cookies via a cookie banner.

What we use it for

We use your data to:

  • process and deliver your order

  • contact you about your order if there's a problem

  • respond to questions or complaints

  • meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records for tax purposes

  • with your consent, send you occasional updates about new batches or products, if you've opted in

We don't use your data for anything beyond running the shop and communicating with you about it. We never sell your data to third parties.

 

Who we share it with

We share order data with the couriers who deliver your parcel, and with our payment processor to take payment. We share data with Wix, our website and shop platform provider, as they host the site and process orders on our behalf. Each of these has its own responsibilities as a data processor under UK GDPR.

We don't share your data with anyone else unless we're legally required to.

 

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes, generally six years, in line with HMRC requirements. If you've opted in to marketing emails, we'll keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

 

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you

  • ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate

  • ask us to delete your data, where we're not required to keep it for legal reasons

  • withdraw consent to marketing at any time

  • ask us to restrict or object to certain processing

We'll update this page if how we handle data changes, and update the date at the top when we do.
